On the 9th December 2006, Stokesley & District Round Table played host to over 100 local senior citizens at their annual Christmas Party. The event was held at the Women's Institute hall, Great Ayton and party goers came predominantly from sheltered housing in the greater Stokesley area.

Local radio personality Mark Turnbull entertained the guests and the afternoon was concluded with the inevitable game of bingo.

Local company GE Plastics supported the event this year by kindly sponsoring the coach transport.

Our 2006 Murder Mystery night was meticulously put together by Martin Ingledew and Petra Morgan. Set at the Extraordinary General Meeting of the Cudham Riding Club following the death of the Chairwoman, Lady Amanda Cudham. The evening was well attended by Table members, partners and guests.

The event had more skulduggery, adultery, coercion and crime than a Jilly Cooper novel. Highlights of the night were Ged Kirkbright as Johnny Cudham the charlie snorting toff, Kay McLean as Lady Amanda’s sister and Alan Geddes with a virtuoso performance as a John McCririck inspired bookmaker. A Collection of some funny sketches

Current and past members of Stokesley Ladies Circle were invited together with partners,many of whom are in Stokesley Round Table, to celebrate 30 years of Ladies Circle in Stokesley. The Dinner was held at the Wainstones Hotel, Great Broughton.

Members of Round Table together with Partners had a great night out at the Old Poste House, Low Lane. Near Stainton.

Tables making up Area10 got together to celebrate 75 years of Round Table Area 10.

At Christmas we ask Santa to accompany us around Stokesley and the surrounding area to raise funds for Charity. It also raises the profile of Round Table in the area and of course the children and parents love to see Santa.

We also Inducted 2 New Members and scared them half to death by pretending there was to be a strange initiation ceremony.

These are photos taken at our Annual "Old Folks" Christmas Party.

This is held at a local village hall in Great Ayton and we invite the older members of our community. We arrange to transport them to and from the party, entertainment is provided as well as a good feed. We play Bingo, which always goes down well and have a local group of younger members of the community along to sing carols. We also give out prizes for the oldest Man (94 this year) and Woman(87) as well as the largest number of Grand children (15).

It is always enjoyed by the guests and ourselves.

This group of Photos was originally produced in the form of a calendar and sold for £5. It raised funds for a number of local charities.
